Species360 Conservation Science Alliance (CSA) team member Morgane Tidière was recently invited to speak at the AFdPZ – Association Française des Parcs Zoologiques annual meeting hosted by Zoodyssée – Département des Deux-Sèvres in France.
Morgane delivered a presentation on the CSA’s goals and current research projects, as well as how aggregated data from ZIMS and research analytics from the CSA can support Species360 members’ animal care and husbandry efforts.
During this annual meeting, the French zoos stress the importance of collaboration between zoos and discussed for instance how zoos can support the identification of hybrid animals in the international trade and how genetic research is a useful tool that zoological institutions can support.
