CITES 30th Animal Committee Meeting: Parties discuss CSA report on 16 species threatened by trade

Dalia A. Conde Participanted as Stakeholder on behalf of Species360 at the CITES 30th Animal Committee Meeting, Geneva (Switzerland) 16-21.07.2018.

The Parties discussed a Species360 report commissioned by the CITES Secretariat which evaluated the breeding biology and captive husbandry of 16 species threatened by trade, including the Crater coral, the Red-eyed leaf frog, the Indian star tortoise, and the Fennec fox. Species360 members contributed expert knowledge on the captive husbandry of these species. Data on the number of individuals held and the number of births in captivity were extracted from ZIMS.
